The idea for CVnomist was born from my own frustration and observations. Working in recruitment and selling ATS (Application Tracking Systems) to companies, I witnessed countless qualified candidates being overlooked simply because their resumes didn’t effectively highlight the right skills for specific job postings.

Having sold ATS solutions to employers, I understood exactly how recruiters search for candidates.. it’s all about keyword matching and filtering, not mysterious scoring algorithms. Yet I kept seeing talented people struggle because they didn’t know how to optimize their resumes for these search systems.

One particularly memorable day, I was reviewing applications for a client and came across a candidate with incredible potential but a poorly optimized resume. Despite their qualifications, they were nearly passed over. After helping them restructure their resume to match the job requirements, they not only landed an interview but secured the position.

That’s when it clicked, what if everyone had access to intelligent resume optimization that could match their existing skills to job descriptions? What if technology could help level the playing field and give every candidate their best shot?

Building CVnomist wasn’t easy as a solopreneur, but my background in digital marketing, recruitment expertise, and firsthand knowledge of how ATS systems actually work gave me a unique perspective on what both job seekers and employers need.
